What services does Sounds of Africa offer?
We specialise in the rental, as well as sale and permanent installation of professional sound systems for events, venues, and commercial spaces. Our services include event audio setups, custom sound installations, equipment delivery, setup, and technical support. We are also able to provide DJ’s, bands and other forms of entertainment tailored to your event or needs.
Where is SOA based and which areas do you serve?
We are based in Centurion, Gauteng, and serve clients across Gauteng and surrounding provinces. For larger installations or special projects, we can work nationally.
What types of events do you support?
From corporate events, weddings, and private parties, to festivals, wellness events, and coffee raves – we tailor our sound setups to suit any event vibe or audience size.

What sound equipment can I rent from you?
We rent out:
- PA Systems – Small to Medium Sized
- Microphones – Dynamic Vocal & Instrument
- Stands – Guitar, Mic, Speaker
- Gear – Di Boxes, Cables(included with mics and speaker rentals)
- Mixers – Small & Digital Stage Boxes
- Lighting – Par Can’s (expanding soon)
Do you deliver and set up the equipment?
Yes, we charge a flat rate for delivery depending on your location. Set up and Strike (takedown) is also an optional extra. Should you book an engineer for the day, set-up and strike is included.
Can I collect the equipment and set it up myself?
Yes, we call this “Dry Hire” and it’s available for certain smaller packages. However, we recommend using our team for larger setups to ensure optimal sound quality and safety.
How much does it cost to rent sound equipment?

What kind of venues do you install sound systems in?
We install audio systems in:

Do you offer consultations before installing?
Yes, we normally do a site visit and an audio needs assessment before quoting. We’ll recommend a setup that fits your space, vibe, and budget.
Can you work with existing equipment?
Yes – we can integrate, upgrade, or optimize existing systems if they’re compatible with current audio standards. We’d also be happy to solve any problems you might be having with your current system.
TECHNICAL & SUPPORT
Do you provide a technician for live events?
Absolutely. A qualified sound engineer can be on-site to set-up, monitor and adjust levels throughout your event and strike when it’s all done.
What happens if the equipment malfunctions during an event?
We offer 24/7 on-call support for events and rentals. If there’s a failure, we’ll either fix it on-site or bring a replacement immediately, no questions asked.
Is the equipment insured?
Our equipment is insured while in our care. Clients are responsible for any loss or damage once equipment is signed over, unless a technician is present.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
How do I make a booking?
Simply contact us via WhatsApp or email. We’ll guide you through a quick quote and booking process. You’ll need to complete our customer agreement and provide us with some details before any equipment is released.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better! For rentals, we recommend at least 2-3 weeks in advance, especially for weekends.
What payment methods do you accept?
We only accept EFTs and payments via PayFast. A 50% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is due before delivery or setup.

Do you offer long-term rental packages?
Yes – we offer retainer-based and monthly rental solutions for venues needing consistent sound setups without the cost of ownership.
Can you white-label or brand your services for events?
We can collaborate under your brand or offer co-branded services, depending on the scope and visibility of the project.

Is Sounds of Africa a registered business?
Yes, we are. We’re also insured, VAT registered, tax compliant and operating under professional business standards since 2019.
Do you offer sound system training or tutorials?
For installations, we include basic training for you and your staff. We like to leave you well informed on how your new equipment works and best practises to follow.
